Asian Recipes - Thai Water Chestnuts with Coconut Jelly (Ta Ko) Recipe

Ingredients

  • 500 gm Water chestnuts 

  • 1/4 liter Coconut milk

  • 2 tbsp Agar-Agar powder 

  • 2 tbsp Sugar

  • 1 tbsp Salt

  • 1 big pieces Banana leaf

  • 2 tbsp Pandan leaf juice

Serves 4


Method:

  1. Fold the banana leaf into a small a shape.

  2. Cut the water chestnuts into small dice and put them into the banana leaf cup together with the pandan leaf juice.

  3. Meanwhile, mix the coconut milk, sugar salt and agar-agar powder into a pot.

  4. Place the pot under a stove until the mixture is boiled.

  5. Pour the mixture into the banana leaf cup and allow to cool.
