Asian Recipes - Thai Water Chestnuts with Coconut
Jelly (Ta Ko)

Ingredients

500 gm Water chestnuts
-
1/4 liter
Coconut milk
-
2 tbsp Agar-Agar powder
-
2 tbsp Sugar
-
1 tbsp Salt
-
1 big pieces Banana leaf
-
2 tbsp
Pandan leaf juice
Serves 4
Method:

Fold the banana leaf into a small a shape.
-
Cut the
water chestnuts into small dice and put them into
the banana leaf cup together with the pandan leaf
juice.
-
Meanwhile, mix the coconut milk, sugar salt
and agar-agar powder into a pot.
-
Place the pot under
a stove until the mixture is boiled.
-
Pour the
mixture into the banana leaf cup and allow to cool.
