Tip:
Chicken Teriyaki makes
a good
sandwich filling. Let it cool in the marinade
so
that
it remains moist and succulent Watercress goes well
with the chicken, as would a little pickled ginger.
Variation: This Japanese classic has gained
exceptional popularity in the United States, where
it is served at food outlets nationwide. Some
recipes add fresh ginger; and a tablespoon or
honey or maple syrup instead of the sugar
to sweeten the marinade.
