Rose-flavored Lassi

Method:

In a jug (pitcher), beat the yogurt with 150ml/2/3
cup water, until smooth. Add the rose essence and sugar,
adjusting the sweetness to taste, and mix well.

Divide
the ice cubes between two glasses and pour in the lassi.
Decorate with a few rose petals and serve.
Note: Sweet and
savory
lassi is always in demand at Indian and Malay coffee
shops, restaurants and hawker stalls. Soothing and
cooling, this Indian yogurt-based drink is an ideal
partner to spicy food. Savory lassi is often salty
and flavored with mint, whereas the sweet drink is
fragrant with the traditional essences of rose or
pandanus.
