Asian Meats Recipes - Vietnamese Pork Loaf Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground pork

  • 8 dried mushrooms, soaked in cold water for 30 minutes, drained, stalks removed and chopped

  • 4 scallions, chopped

  • 3 eggs, beaten

  • 2 tsp. fish sauce

  • salt and black pepper

Serves 4


Method:

  1. Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Arrange the mixture in a small, greased loaf pan and cover with a double thickness of foil.

  2. Place in the top of a steamer or in a large pan one-third full of boiling water. Steam for 1 hour.

  3. Remove the pan from the heat and unwrap the loaf. Leave the loaf in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a chopping board.

  4. Cut into thin slices and serve With salad.
