Chinese Recipes - Beef Fried with Green Pepper Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 oz beef

  • 4 big cameroon chili or green pepper

  • ginger juice

Sauce:

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 1/2 tsp ginger juice

  • 1 tsp Chinese rice wine or Rose wine

  • a few drops sesame oil

  • pepper

  • 1 tbsp corn flour

4 servings


Method:

  1. Cut beef into very thin slices and season with 1/2 tsp soda bicarbonate, sugar, pepper, sesame oil and about 1 tbsp groundnut oil.

  2. Cut green pepper into long slices.

  3. Fry the beef in deep fat for about 2 minutes. Drain well and pour away deep fat into container.

  4. Wash frying pan and add in either lard or groundnut oil (or any of your favorite oil). Put in green pepper to fry.

  5. Pour in the sauce to fry for about 4-5 minutes. Add in beef. Dish up and put in serving plate.

  6. Decorate with either chilly strips around plate or spring onions.
