Chinese Recipes - Braised Chicken with Chestnuts Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 spring chicken
250 g (9 oz) chestnuts (canned)
1 slice ginger ( shred)
4 tablespoons oil
4 tablespoons soy sauce
1-2 tablespoons cooking wine
1/2 tablespoon sugar
dash of monosodium glutamate (MSG) to taste
1 cup water
4 servings
Method:
Chop chicken into 3 cm (1/4 inch) pieces. Fry chicken and ginger in oil. Add chestnuts.
Remove to deep pan. Add remaining ingredients and seasoning. Simmer for 1/2 hours.
