Chinese Recipes - Braised Chinese Cabbage

Ingredients

g (14 oz)
Chinese cabbage

2 tablespoons oil

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup
(100 cc) soup stock

clove ginger
-
2 dried mushrooms
-
shrimps
-
2 slices ham
-
2 tablespoons oil
-
1/2 cup soup stock
-
1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1
tablespoon
cooking wine

1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
4 servings
Method:

Cut Chinese cabbage into 2 X 6 cm (1-inch x 2-inch)
pieces. Slice ginger and mushroom. Cut ham in 8
pieces. Soak shrimp in hot water.

Heat oil. Fry cabbage gently. Add salt and soup.

Remove cabbage when they look transparent and
drain.

Rinse pan. Heat 2 tablespoons oil.
Sauté
mushroom, ginger, ham and shrimp. Add cabbage.

Add 1/2
cup soup and seasoning. Simmer
for a while. Remove cabbage, ham, mushroom and
shrimp to serving platter. Thicken soup with starch
mixed with water.

Arrange cabbage on platter garnir
with mushroom, ham and shrimp. Top with gravy.
