Chinese Recipes - Braised Pork with Eggs Recipe

Ingredients

  • 560 g (20 oz) fresh bacon

  • 1/2 green onion, cut up

  • 1 slice ginger

  • 6 hard boiled eggs, shelled

  • 1 cup (200 cc) water

  • 2 tablespoons cooking wine

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 6 tablespoons soy sauce

4 servings


Method:

  1. Cut pork into 5 cm/2 inch cubes.

  2. Parboil meat. Wash off scum and drain.

  3. Simmer meat in water with wine, onion and ginger for 30 minutes.

  4. Add scored eggs and seasonings. Simmer 1 hour longer.
