Chinese Recipes - Candied Sweet Potatoes Recipe
Ingredients
300 g (11 oz) sweet potatoes
oil for frying
1 tablespoon oil
8 tablespoons sugar
salad oil
Method:
Peel sweet potatoes. Cut into pieces. Soak and drain. Wipe dry.
Fry in 160°C (330°F) oil while stirring constantly. Set aside.
Heat oil. Add sugar in 2 lots. Stir to prevent burning. Cook untill thick.
Reheat sweet potatoes. Add to candies sugar. Mix quickly.
Serve in plate coated with salad oil.
