Chinese Recipes - Candied Sweet Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 300 g (11 oz) sweet potatoes

  • oil for frying

  • 1 tablespoon oil

  • 8 tablespoons sugar

  • salad oil


Method:

  1. Peel sweet potatoes. Cut into pieces. Soak and drain. Wipe dry.

  2. Fry in 160°C (330°F) oil while stirring constantly. Set aside.

  3. Heat oil. Add sugar in 2 lots. Stir to prevent burning. Cook untill thick.

  4. Reheat sweet potatoes. Add to candies sugar. Mix quickly.

  5. Serve in plate coated with salad oil.
