-
Sift the flour and add in the sugar, salt, yeast and
skim milk powder in a mixing bowl. Add in the eggs
and water to mix and continue mixing until the
mixture forms a mass of dough. Add the butter and
margarine to the dough and continue mixing.
-
When
the butter and margarine are well mixed into the
dough, add in the food coloring and continue mixing
until the color is evenly spread. Let the mixture
stand under a damp cloth for 15 minutes.
-
Tear off
a lump of dough and flatten it with a rolling pin.
-
Put approximately 30 gm of red bean paste into
the flattened dough and seal it. Form the lump into
a teardrop shape and place on a baking tray.
-
Flatten the upper edge of the teardrop to form the
upper fin. Using a rolling pin, flatten the smaller
end of the dough into the rear fin.
-
With a pair
of scissors, cut a slit where the mouth is, and make
small snips on the body to represent the gills.
-
For completeness, roll up a small piece of dough and
flatten it into a triangular shape to form the side
fins. Use chocolate chips to represent the eyes.
-
Place the 'fish' buns in an oven and bake for 12
minutes at 200°C.
