Chinese Recipes - Chinese Pilaf Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200 g (7 oz) pork

  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon cooking wine

  • 200 g (7 oz) tender green

  • 3 dried mushrooms (soaked)

  • 2 small bamboo shoots

  • 3 tablespoons oil

  • 2 tablespoons salt

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • dash of monosodium glutamate (MSG)

4 servings


Method:

  1. Cut sliced pork into 2 cm (1 inch) pieces. Season with 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1/2 tbsp wine and set aside.

  2. Cut tender green into same size. Cut mushroom and bamboo shoot into small pieces.

  3. Heat oil. Drain meat and fry until color changes. Add bamboo shoot, mushroom and tender green. Add the balance seasoning.

  4. Wash rice. Add 4 cups water and bring to boil. Mix in fried ingredients and simmer.
