Chinese Recipes - Fermented Bean Curd Vegetables Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

  • 2-3 cubes fermented white bean curd squares

  • 100g pre-fried gluten 100g pre-fried vegetarian bean curd squares

  • 400ml water

  • 2 tbsp vegetarian oyster or oyster sauce

  • 1-2 tbsp light soy sauce

  • 50g black fungus, softened

  • 16 button mushrooms

  • 30g lily bulbs, tied into knots

  • 2 tsp corn flour mixed with 1 tbsp water

  • 8 small plants/pak choy, leave whole and blanched

4 servings


Method:

  1. In a frying pan, heat oil and stir-fry fermented bean curd for 1 minute.

  2. Add dried mushrooms, cabbage and cauliflower. Fry for about 3 minutes.

  3. Add in the light soy sauce, water and sugar.

  4. Add in the vegetarian oyster sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. Add in all remaining ingredients. Stir-fry over high heat until done; about 2-3 minutes. (add more water if necessary). Serve hot.
