Chinese Recipes - Fish Congee Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200 g (7oz) white meat fish

  • 1 teaspoon cooking wine

  • 1 1/2 cups rice

  • 10 cups (2,000 cc) water

  • 2 cm (1 inch) green onion

  • 1 slice ginger

  • soy sauce for seasoning

  • salt for seasoning

  • dash of pepper

  • dash of monosodium glutamate

4 servings


Method:

  1. Remove skin and bones from fish and thin slice. Sprinkle with wine.

  2. Place fish slices in large individual warm bowl with soy sauce and minced ginger and onion.

  3. Dish in hot congee and season with salt, MSG and pepper and serve.
