Chinese Recipes - Fried Rice with Assorted Meats Recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 cups cooked rice

  • 1 slice ham

  • 4 slices roast pork

  • 1 small bamboo shoot

  • 3 dried mushrooms

  • 1 green onion

  • 1/4 can crab meat

  • 1 egg

  • dash of salt

  • 3 tablespoon oil

  • green peas

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

  • dash of pepper

  • dash of monosodium glutamate (MSG)

4 servings


Method:

  1. Dice ham, roast pork, bamboo shoot, soaked mushroom and onion. Remove filaments from crab meat, separate into small pieces.

  2. Season beaten egg with salt. Heat oil. Scramble egg quickly. Set aside.

  3. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in pan. Sauté onion. Add  diced mushroom, bamboo shoot, ham and roast pork and then crab meat.

  4. Return scrambled egg to pan. Add rice a portion at a time, stirring constantly while frying.

  5. Separate rice without crushing. Add peas.

  6. Season with salt, pepper and monosodium glutamate. Remove from heat.
