Chinese Recipes - Plain Fried Fish Balls  Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3/4lb boneless fish

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tsp MSG

  • 1 dessertspoonful corn flour or tapioca flour

  • 1 beaten egg yolk

  • 1lb cooking oil (for deep frying)

4 servings


Method:

  1. Chop or mince the fish finely. Add salt, pepper, MSG, beaten egg yolk, and corn flour. Stir well.

  2. Form into small balls. Fry in deep hot oil for 5-8 minutes.

  3. Spread the fish balls on leaves of lettuce.

  4. Serve whilst hot or cold with chili sauce or sweet and sour sauce.
