Chinese Recipes - Sliced Beef with Snow Peas Recipe

Ingredients

  • 300 g (11 oz) beef slices, bite size

  • 1 tablespoon wine

  • 2 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce

  • dash ginger powder

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 100 g (3oz) snow peas

  • 1/2 green onion, cut up

  • 1 clove garlic, halved

  • 5 tablespoons oil

  • 1/2-1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 tablespoon cooking wine

  • monosodium glutamate (MSG) to taste

4 servings


Method:

  1. Remove stem from snow peas. Fry in 2 tablespoons oil. Remove. Set aside.

  2. Season beef with 1 tbsp wine, 1/2 tsp soy sauce, ginger powder. Mix in starch.

  3. Heat 3 tablespoons oil. Sauté onion, garlic and beef. Stir quickly.

  4. Add 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1/2-1 tsp sugar, 1 tbsp cooking wine and MSG.

  5. Add snow peas. Mix. Turn off heat.
