Chinese Recipes - Won Ton

Ingredients

  • 1 package Won Ton skin

  • 200 g (7 oz) ground pork

  • 5 cm (2 inch) green onion (minced)

  • dash of ginger juice

  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon lard

  • 1 tablespoon salt

Soup (Per serving):

  • 1 cup (200 cc) water or soup stock

  • dash of sesame oil

  • dash of monosodium glutamate (MSG)

  • thin egg pancake

  • toasted seaweed (shredded)

  • green onion

4 servings


Method:

  1. Mix green onion and ginger juice with ground pork. Add seasonings and mix well.

  2. Place filling in center of skin. Wet 2 sides with fingers dipped in water. Fold in triangle.

  3. Wet two end corners and press tightly to form a "ear" shaped Won Ton. Place in boiling water. Bring to boil. Add cold water and bring to boil again.

  4. Serve Won Ton in hot soup in individual bowls.

  5. Garnish with shredded egg pancake, seaweed and green onion.
