Recipes - Steamed Rice Balls
Ingredients

1 cup rice
-
500 g pork mince
-
4 spring onions, chopped
-
1 tablespoon chopped water chestnuts
-
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
-
2 teaspoons sweet chili sauce
-
3 cloves garlic,
crushed
-
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
-
1 tablespoon salt
Method:

Soak the rice in
cold water for 30 minutes. Drain well.

Combine the
mince, spring onions, water chestnuts, sauces,
garlic, ginger and salt in a bowl and roll into
walnut-sized balls. Coat each ball in rice.

Put the rice
balls, well spaced, in a single layer in steamer.
(Cook in batches, if necessary.) Cover and place
over a pan of simmering water for 25-30 minutes or
until rice is tender and balls are cooked through.
Serve with dipping sauce.
