Indian Vegetables Recipes - Grilled Paneer Tikka with Mint and Coriander Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb (250 g) Homemade Paneer (refer recipe)

  • 2-3 tablespoons Mint Coriander Chutney (refer recipe)

  • 1/2 cup (125 g) hung yogurt (refer recipe)

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons crushed garlic

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons crushed ginger

  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric

  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper

  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala (refre recipe)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons oil

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • Sliced onions and lemon wedges,

  • to serve

Method:

  1. Cut the paneer into squares about % in (2 cm) thick. With a knife, make 3 to 4 shallow cuts into one side of each paneer and gently push about 1/4 teaspoon of the Mint Coriander Chutney into the shallow cuts.

  2. Mix all the remaining ingredients together to make a marinade and rub onto the pieces of paneer. Leave to marinate for 45 minutes to 1 hour. 3 Skewer the paneer and bake in a very hot oven or under a very hot grill for 4 minutes, or until the paneer starts to brown. Serve with sliced raw onion and lemon wedges.
