Indonesian Grilled Chicken in Gravy (Ayam Pecel) Recipe
Ingredients

1 chicken (3 lb./1
1/2
kg.) (cleaned & halved)

2 onions (finely
sliced)
-
1/4 cup lime juice
-
salt to taste
-
2 1/2 cups thick santan/thick
coconut milk
-
2 oz. (60 g.) daun
kemangi/basil leaves (shredded)
Ground Ingredients:
Serves 4-6
Method:
-
Grill chicken till cooked. Lightly crush with a
pestle.

Add all ingredients, except basil leaves,
to coconut milk. Blend well and adjust seasoning.

Place chicken in a serving dish. Pour santan mixture
over. Sprinkle basil leaves on top.

Serve hot.
