Indonesian-Chinese Fried Rice
(Nasi Goreng Cara China) Recipe
Ingredients

2 cups rice (washed,
drained & cooked)
-
3 tablespoons lard
-
10 shallots (sliced)
-
6 oz. (185 g.) pork
(chopped)
-
2 oz. (60 g.) ham
(sliced in strips)
-
4 oz. (125 g.)
green peas
-
salt & pepper to
taste
-
2 eggs (made into
omelet, rolled & shredded)
-
2 oz. (60 g.)
spring onions (sliced)
Sauce:
Serves 3-4
Method:
-
Loosen rice-grains with a fork. Keep aside.

Heat lard
and fry shallots till golden brown.
-
Add the meats,
stirring 2 minutes on high heat.
-
Reduce heat. Add
sauce mixture, rice and peas. Mix well.
-
Season to
taste. Continue stirring till well fried.
-
Remove from
flame. Garnish with remaining ingredients and serve
hot.
