Fried Fermented Soy Bean Cakes (Tempe Goreng) Recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. (250 g.) tempe/fermented
soy bean cakes

salt to taste

cooking oil for
deep-frying

1 clove garlic
(sliced)

2 oz. (60 g.) ku-cai/chives
(sliced into equal lengths)
Serves 4
Method:

Cut fermented soy bean cakes into large squares. Season
well with salt.

Heat oil on high flame. Add garlic
and fermented soy bean cakes. Fry till golden and crisp.

Add ku-cai and cook till softened. Remove from flame.

Drain well and dish up. Serve.
Note:
If the fermented soy bean cakes are to be kept, omit
the chives. Store in an airtight container.
