Banana Crisps
(Kerepek Pisang) Recipe
Ingredients

2 half-ripe pisang
tandok/firm bananas (thinly sliced)

cooking oil for
deep-frying
-
2 cups sugar
-
1 1/2 cups water
-
2 2-inch (5-cm.) kayu
manis/cinnamon sticks
Serves 8
Method:

Heat oil on high flame. Deep-fry banana slices till
golden and crisp.

Put sugar in a clean pan. Add
water and cinnamon.

Heat on high flame, stirring
till sugar dissolves. Bring to the boil.

Add
banana-crisps. Stir till well coated. Remove from
flame and discard cinnamon.
-
Cool well before
storing in an airtight container.
