(Tumis Taoge Dengan Lombok) Recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. (250 g.) taoge/beansprouts
(tailed & washed)
-
1/4 lb. (125 g.) large red
chilies
(sliced)
-
3 tablespoons cooking
oil
-
1/2-inch (1.2.cm.)
piece laos/galangal (crushed)
-
6 shallots,
pounded
-
2 cloves
garlic, pounded
-
1/2-inch (1.2-cm.)
piece terasi/dried, pounded
-
shrimp paste
(dry-fried), pounded
-
1/2 lb. (250 g.) prawns
(shelled, deveined & seasoned)
-
salt to taste
-
1/4 cup water
Serves 4
Method:
-
Heat oil and stir-fry
chilies, galangal and
pounded ingredients till golden.
-
Add prawns and
stir-fry 1/2 a minute.
-
Add beansprouts and simmer
till tendercrisp. Add water and season to taste.
-
Cook covered, on low flame, 1/2 a minute. Remove from
flame. Discard galangal.
-
Serve hot with boiled
white rice.
