Green with Transparent Vermicelli
(Tumis Sawi Bersuun) Recipe
Ingredients
-
1 lb. (500 g.) sawi/mustard
greens (cleaned)
-
4 tablespoons cooking oil
-
3 cloves garlic,
finely sliced
-
2 medium
onions, finely sliced
-
3 red chilies,
finely sliced
-
3/4 lb. (375 g.) medium
prawns (shelled, deveined & seasoned)
-
1 cup water
-
salt to taste
-
a pinch of-sugar
-
1 oz. (30 g.) soohoon/trasparent vermicelli (soaked & drained)
Serves 4-6
Method:
-
Cut mustard greens, plus stalks, into 2-inch (5-cm.)
lengths. Wash well and drain.

Heat oil and stir-fry sliced ingredients till
soft.

Add prawns and stir-fry 1h minute. Add
water, salt and sugar.

Put in transparent
vermicelli and bring to the boil. Stir-cook for 2
minutes.
-
Add mustard greens. Stir-fry till just
done, and vegetable is still a good green color.
-
Remove from flame. Serve hot with boiled white rice.
