Method:

Wash the rice thoroughly and bring to the boil in a
saucepan together with the coconut milk and pandanus
leaves, seasoned to taste with salt.

Once boiling,
reduce the heat until the liquid has been absorbed,
which will take about 10 minutes. Be careful that
the rice does not burn.

Then cook for another 15-20
minutes in a steamer as described for Nasi liwet
(refer recipe).
Tip: If a more
granular rice is preferred, separate it gently with
a fork towards the end of the cooking period.
