Indonesian Recipes (Bali, Java) - Sambal Kemangi Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 sprig white lemon basil (or lemon balm and basil)

  • 2 tablespoons Sambal ulek (refer recipe)

  • juice of 1 lime

Serves 4


Method:

  1. Remove the lemon basil leaves from the stalks and wash carefully.

  2. Add to the lemon juice and Sambal ulek and stir well.

  3. Like Tomato sambal, Sambal kemangi can also be fried.

  4. It is delicious served with lalapan, blanched vegetables.
