Ingredients
200 g/7 oz red and
green chilies
1 teaspoon salt
3 doves garlic
1 tablespoon trasi
(shrimp paste)
juice of 1 lemon or lime
Serves 4
Method:
Peel the cloves of garlic and puree all the
ingredients.
Note: Indonesians often eat Sambal trasi with dried salt
fish, and in fishing villages this is a traditional
poor man's dish. It is delicious served with fried
tofu or tempe.
