Indonesian Recipes (Bali, Java) - Steamed Cooking Bananas (Putu Gedang) Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe cooking banana

  • about 1 cup desiccated (shredded) coconut

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar

Serves 2


Method:

  1. Steam the cooking bananas in their skins until they are tender inside.

  2. Remove from the skin and cut into not thin slices.

  3. Sprinkle with grated coconut and vanilla sugar and serve warm.
