Asian Salad Recipes - Burma Prawn Salad (Pazun Thoke) Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced

  • 10 raw prawns, shelled and deveined

  • 1 heaped tablespoon finely chopped coriander

  • 2 small red or green chilies, finely chopped

  • 1 lime

  • salt to taste

Serves 4


Method

  1. Place the onion on a serving plate and set aside.

  2. Bring a pan of water to the boil and briefly dunk the prawns in it until they just change color. Drain well and place on top of the onions.

  3. Sprinkle the coriander and chili over the prawns, then halve the lime and squeeze the juice of both halves over the prawns.

  4. Sprinkle a little salt to taste, mix well and serve.
