Asian Salad Recipes - Burma
Spicy Fruit Salad (Thit-Thu Sone Thoke) Recipe
Ingredients

1/2 pineapple
-
1 under-ripe mango
(not raw but still quite hard)
-
1/2 pomelo (if
necessary, substitute 1 whole grapefruit)
-
4 rose apples (if necessary, substitute 2 ordinary
apples)
-
2 teaspoons sugar
-
1/4 teaspoon chili
powder
-
1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
-
Peel and core the pineapple and cut the flesh into
segments. Peel the mango and cut the flesh away from the
stone in largish cubes.
-
Peel the pamela and break it
into segments. Halve, stone and core the rose apples,
then cut them into pieces about 2.5cm (1in) square.
-
Place all these fruits and the remaining ingredients in
a bowl, mix well and
serve.
