Asian Salad Recipes - Thai Salad with Savory Pork Sausage (Yam Moo Som) Recipe

Ingredients

  • mixed seasonal salad

  • 275 (10oz) small frankfurters

  • 1 onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 small cucumber, cut into thin matchsticks

  • 2 tomatoes, cut into thin wedges

For the dressing:

  • 4 garlic cloves

  • 4 small red or green chilies

  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce

  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

  • 2 level teaspoons sugar

Serves 4


Method:

  1. Arrange the salad around the edges of a serving platter and set aside.

  2. Make the dressing by mixing all the ingredients in a large bowl. Set aside.

  3. Heat some water in a saucepan and boil the sausages until cooked through, usually around 4 minutes.

  4. Remove from the water and slice into rounds.

  5. Place the sausages in the bowl with the dressing. Add the onion, cucumber and tomato, and mix well.

  6. Turn out on to the platter and serve.
