Desserts Recipes - Sago in Coconut Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sago

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 2 cups thick coconut milk

  • small pinch of salt

  • 2 tbsp crushed palm sugar


Method:

  1. Boil sago and sugar with 2 1/2 cups water until tender. Spoon into dessert dishes and leave to cool. Heat coconut milk gently with salt, then leave to cool.

  2. Dissolve palm sugar in 1/3 cup water over gently heat, then cool. To serve, pour a portion of coconut milk and sugar syrup over the sago.
