Noodles And Rice Recipes - Pork Chops On Rice

Ingredients

  • 2 cups long grain white rice

  • 6 pork chops

  • 1 tbsp peanut oil

  • salt and black pepper

  • Vietnamese sauce (nuoc cham sauce) (see sauces recipe)


Method:

  1. Pour the rice into a saucepan and add water to cover by 2 cm (3/4 inches). Bring quickly to the boil, cover tightly and cook on low heat for about 20 minutes.

  2. In the meantime cook the chops in a pan with the peanut oil, seasoning with salt and pepper.

  3. Pile the rice onto plates with a pork chop on top of each and Vietnamese sauce at the side. Serve with a dish of salad.
