Sauces And Appetizers Recipes - Steamed Pork Rolls (Bi Coun)

Ingredients

  • 500g (1lb) finely minced fatty pork

  • 30g (1 oz) drained water chestnuts, finely chopped

  • 2 spring onions, very finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp fish sauce

  • salt and white pepper

  • salad greens or lettuce

  • sprigs of mint, coriander and basil

  • carrot pickle

  • sliced cucumber

  • fresh bean sprouts

  • Vietnamese sauce


Method:

  1. In a bowl combine the pork, water chestnuts and onions, seasoning with fish sauce, salt and pepper.

  2. Form into rolls the size of sausages and arrange side by side on an oiled plate. Set in a steamer over simmering water and simmer for 12 minutes.

  3. Cut into pieces and serve with the salad ingredients and sauce dip.
